Klaudia Zakrzewska Dies After Soho Crash Murder Charge Filed

A social media influencer has died six days after being struck by a car outside a nightclub in central London.

Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, from Essex, was hit on Argyll Street in Soho at around 4:30am on Sunday, April 19, and passed away on Saturday.

Gabrielle Carrington, 29, a former X Factor finalist, appeared in court on Tuesday accused of attempting to kill Ms Zakrzewska—known online as Klaudiaglam—outside the Inca nightclub. Following Ms Zakrzewska’s death, police confirmed the charge will be upgraded to murder.

Carrington, from Broadfield Road in Manchester, also faces charges of dangerous driving, being nearly twice the legal drink-drive limit, and injuring two others—a woman and a security guard—who were also struck by her vehicle. A 58-year-old man suffered life-changing injuries in the incident.

Carrington rose to fame in 2013 as part of Miss Dynamix on The X Factor and now has over 365,000 Instagram followers under the name RIELLEUK. During the court hearing, she made a heart gesture toward friends and family in the public gallery as she was taken back into custody.

She did not enter any pleas and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19. Ms Zakrzewska’s family and friends were present at the hearing.

Nearly £18,000 has been raised through crowdfunding to support Ms Zakrzewska’s medical treatment and her family’s legal costs.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, expressed condolences to the victim’s loved ones and urged the public to avoid speculation or sharing graphic footage, warning that doing so could impact the ongoing investigation and future court proceedings.
