Yung Filly Pleads Not Guilty to Sexual Assault Charges in Australia
British YouTuber, musician, and TV personality Yung Filly, born Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has pleaded not guilty to multiple sexual assault charges in Australia. The 29-year-old appeared before Perth Magistrates’ Court on March 11, 2025, where he denied three counts of assault, one count of strangulation, and four counts of sexual penetration without consent.
The charges stem from an alleged incident in September 2024, when a woman in her twenties accused him of assault inside a Perth hotel room. Yung Filly was arrested in Brisbane and extradited to Perth on October 9, 2024, facing a total of eight charges.
Following his court appearance, the case has been transferred to the District Court, with a trial mention scheduled for June 13, 2025. The social media star is currently out on bail under strict conditions, including a $100,000 personal undertaking.
In addition to the assault allegations, Yung Filly was caught driving at 158 km/h (98 mph) in a 100 km/h zone near Perth in November 2024. He pleaded guilty to reckless driving on December 5, 2024.
Yung Filly rose to fame through his comedic YouTube skits and has collaborated with major brands, hosted shows on BBC Three, and starred in Footasylum’s viral dating series, Does The Shoe Fit? However, following his arrest, brands such as the Football Association and Heinz have severed ties with him.
The case has drawn significant public attention, with fans divided over the allegations. While some have expressed support, others have called for accountability and transparency in the legal process.
As Yung Filly prepares for his upcoming court proceedings, the entertainment industry will be closely watching how the situation unfolds. More updates will be provided as the case progresses.
