Yung Filly granted bail to return to UK before Perth trial

YouTube Creator Yung Filly Granted Bail to Return to UK Ahead of Perth Trial

British YouTube star Yung Filly has been granted permission to leave Australia on bail while awaiting trial on serious sexual assault charges.

Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, better known online as Yung Filly, appeared in a Perth court this week where a judge approved his request to fly overseas before facing trial. The 29-year-old influencer is accused of sexually assaulting a woman, including allegations of rape and choking, at a Perth hotel following a performance earlier this year.

Bail Conditions Set

Under the strict bail conditions, Barrientos must:

  • Return to Western Australia by 7 January 2026,

  • Surrender his passport the following day, and

  • Keep location services switched on across all his electronic devices while overseas.

A substantial surety has also been imposed to ensure compliance with the court’s orders.

International Spotlight

The case has attracted significant attention due to Barrientos’ international profile as a YouTube creator, presenter, and entertainer. He has built a massive online following through comedy sketches, collaborations, and appearances on UK television.

Allowing him to travel has sparked debate, given the severity of the allegations. Legal experts note that while bail is not unusual in such cases, the overseas travel exemption is less common and may be viewed as controversial.

Next Steps

Barrientos is required to return to Australia in early January, when proceedings are expected to resume. Until then, he will remain under the monitoring conditions set by the court.

The charges against Yung Filly remain before the court, and he is yet to enter a plea.
