Train Spilts Amazon Van Into TWO
In an astounding turn of events, an Amazon delivery truck met its fate as it was cleaved in two by a passing train, yet its driver miraculously emerged alive from the wreckage.
The incident unfolded on a stretch of River Valley Road in Ixonia, Wisconsin, situated roughly 40 minutes away from Milwaukee, back in November 2021. Alexander Evans found himself at the center of this astonishing event.
Captured on camera and shared by TMZ, the footage reveals the Amtrak train colliding with the delivery truck, splitting it down the middle. Evans, who is deaf in one ear, recounted not hearing the train’s warning horn initially, and there were no visual cues to alert him of the imminent danger.
“It was just one long beep from the train’s horn, and I instinctively hit the gas, trying to get away,” Evans recounted. He further revealed that this heart-stopping incident coincided with his 30th birthday, adding an eerie twist to the tale.
The video footage depicts Evans behind the wheel, his focus fixed ahead, navigating the road. Suddenly, as he completes a turn, the train rushes into view, triggering the deployment of airbags and jolting him in his seat. The impact swiftly cleaves the back of the truck, leaving only the front section intact, with Evans still inside.
Reflecting on the chaos, Evans described feeling a rush of air and pressure from the collision, bewildered by the sudden turn of events. “I just tried to swerve, but I couldn’t see anything. He was on my left side,” he recounted.
In the aftermath, Evans emphasized the need for enhanced safety measures to alert drivers of approaching trains. While grateful for his survival, he admitted to struggling to comprehend the sheer improbability of his escape from the ordeal.
