Three Teenage Girls Charged with Manslaughter After Death of 75-Year-Old in North London
Three teenage girls have been charged with manslaughter following the death of 75-year-old Fredi Rivero in North London. The tragic incident took place on Thursday, 27 February, on Seven Sisters Road in Islington.
Mr Rivero, who is believed to be a Bolivian national, was assaulted around 11:35 PM. Emergency services responded swiftly, and he was taken to hospital. However, he sadly succumbed to his injuries the following day, Friday, 28 February.
The suspects, aged 14, 16, and 17, were initially arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). After further investigation, they were formally charged with manslaughter. They are set to appear before Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 3 March.

The Metropolitan Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage and conducting forensic analysis to establish the events leading up to the assault. Increased police patrols have also been deployed in the Holloway area to reassure the local community.
