Russian Millionaire and Wife Found Dismembered in UAE

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have launched a major investigation after the dismembered bodies of Russian millionaire Roman Novak and his wife Anna Novak were discovered inside a container near Dubai. The gruesome discovery has drawn global attention due to Novak’s background as a crypto entrepreneur with a history of financial crimes.

Roman Novak, once known for his lavish lifestyle and involvement in cryptocurrency ventures, was previously convicted in Russia for large-scale financial fraud. He had relocated to the UAE seeking a fresh start in the booming digital asset market. However, on October 2, 2025, Novak and his wife were reported missing after attending what was believed to be a business meeting in the Hatta region.

According to multiple sources, investigators believe the couple were lured to the meeting under false pretenses by individuals attempting to gain access to Novak’s digital assets. When their plan failed, the suspects allegedly murdered the pair, dismembered their bodies, and disposed of them in industrial containers near a shopping centre in Hatta. The remains were later identified through forensic examination.

Russian authorities have since opened a parallel murder investigation and confirmed that several suspects have been detained in connection with the case. Reports indicate that at least some of those involved may have fled to Russia following the killings.

The shocking nature of the crime and Novak’s controversial past have fueled widespread speculation about motives ranging from financial disputes to revenge linked to his previous fraudulent dealings. Law enforcement agencies in both the UAE and Russia are now working together to uncover the full truth.

This case underscores the growing risks faced by high-profile figures in the cryptocurrency sector, where vast digital fortunes can make individuals targets for extortion and violent crime. As investigations continue, the deaths of Roman and Anna Novak stand as a grim reminder of how greed and betrayal can turn deadly in the world of digital wealth.
