Couple Sentenced to 375 years for Enslaving Black Children

A Georgia couple has been sentenced to 375 years in prison after being found guilty of forcing Black children to work as slaves. The case, which has shocked the nation, highlights the horrors of modern-day slavery and human trafficking.

Authorities revealed that the couple, Jeanne Kay Whitefeather, 63, Donald Lantz, 64, manipulated and abused several children, forcing them into hard labour without pay. The victims were subjected to physical and emotional abuse, deprived of education, and isolated from the outside world.

Prosecutors described the conditions as “inhumane,” detailing how the couple exploited the children for years before their crimes were exposed. Neighbors and concerned citizens eventually alerted authorities, leading to an intense investigation that uncovered the shocking abuse.

During sentencing, the judge emphasized the severity of their crimes, ensuring they would never be able to harm another child again. The couple received sentences exceeding 400 years, reflecting the gravity of their actions.

This case serves as a reminder that modern slavery still exists and highlights the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation. Law enforcement urges the public to report any suspicions of human trafficking or forced labor to help prevent similar tragedies.
